A Proposal for Loving Action
- During the epidemic, on the hills of Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand, some ethnic minorities are currently suffering from chronic hunger. Under normal circumstances, their daily source of living depends on daily labor income, They have almost no savings. Almost all the mountainous families are affected during the epidemic; in particular, the government force anybody into quarantine for two months during the COVID-19 lockdown. Many people are unable to go out to work to support their families. They are suffering from inadequate nutrition and lack of food.
- Our team is raising 100 loving goods for them, each of which cost 500 baht; Including 5KG rice, 2 bottles of cooking oil, 1 box of instant noodles, 1 bottle of fish sauce, 2 pieces of soap, 6 bottles of canned fish. The goods can provide them with three to four weeks of living supply.
- Our team distributed 4,000 baht per person to 63 ministers in Chiang Mai and Chiang Raito help them spend this tough time; The Bible teaches us: “The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching.” (1 Tim 5:17)
- We provide financial support of 83,224 baht for Abraham Bible College & Discipleship (ABCD) in Yangon, Myanmar.
- So far, we received donations from different churches and caring individuals from the United States, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand, etc., the total amount of money received is 365,609 Thai baht(about $11,794 US dollars)!
